Here’s What You Missed: April’s Umai Crate


HIGASHIMARU – SEAFOOD DISH UDON – ULTRA FINE NOODLES
This HUGE noodle dish is perfect for 2! Dish, or Plate style Udon are super thin noodles and are meant to be eaten crispy! We included a seafood based dish udon, so keep that in mind when selecting what toppings you would like to add! SOUKENSHA – SOY SAUCE RAMEN
We’ve included two different types of Soukensha ramen in this month’s crate! The soy broth for this noodle is 100% free of animal products, pulling solely from non-GMO soybeans and vegetables to give a rich tasty flavor!

SOUKENSHA – SHIO RAMEN
Our second ramen from Soukensha has a traditional Shio broth! This broth has also been created in a similar style to its Soy Sauce counterpart, however, scallop has been used to help bring about a more salty seafood flavor!

SAPPORO 1ST ADULT MINI KITSUNE SOBA
This month we have included two soba dishes for you to enjoy! As a mini cup noodle, this dish is perfect when you need a snack! This particular noodle boasts 40% lower sodium, which is what makes it great for adults!

ITSUKI KUMAMON TORORO KOMBU KELP UDON
Staff Favorite! Recently an Udon craze has hit Japan Crate’s office. The fresh chewy noodles are a nice change in pace from traditional ramen noodles. This particular bowl has a savory bonito stock flavored with seaweed and lots of soft tororo kombu kelp to snack on!

SAKURAI FOOD – VEGE-CUP SOY RAMEN
Our second noodle from Sakurai Food, and our third completely vegetarian dish! Sakurai Food has taken an eco friendly approach in the creation of this ramen. Using sugarcane fiber to create a sturdy compostable cup, as well having a broth with no animal product, its rich soy flavor is sure to please!

SAKURAI FOOD – SOY SAUCE RAMEN – 100% VEGETARIAN
We are incredibly excited to include three vegetarian style ramen this month, completely free of animal and seafood ingredients! Don’t worry, this noodle dish is still amazing! The soy broth has wonderful hints of toasted sesame. Pile on all of your favorite veggie toppings and enjoy! :9
